FALL 2008 NEWSLETTER Are you and your home ready for the cooler weather? Here are a few helpful tips to keep you warm and save money. 1. Set your thermostat at a comfortable temperature (68-70 degrees) 2. Keep registers/vents dust and clutter free 3. If you can feel air around doors and windows, use caulking or weather stripping to seal the leaks For more tips on saving energy, go to www.energysavers.gov Frequently asked questionsA customer asked us: Why should I change my air filters monthly? A dirty filter will slow down airflow and make the system work a little harder to keep you warm or cool – wasting energy. A clean filter will also prevent dust and dirt from building up in the system – leading to expensive maintenance and/or system failure. |

Health Tip:
Humor of the day: A customer was continually bothering the waiter in a restaurant; first he asked that the air conditioning be turned up because he was to hot, then he asked for it to be turned down because he was to cold, he did this for about a half an hour. Surprisingly, the waiter was very patient, walking back and forth never getting angry. Finally a second customer asked why they didn’t just throw the pest out. The waiter replied with a smile, I don’t mind, we don’t even have an air conditioner. |
